Oh yeah, I said it. ‘Simple’ baked peaches … and if that wasn’t enough … heck, toppin it off with some cashew cream.
There is a special guest visiting Monday for a ‘ladies lunch’ … and I thought I’d do a very lady-like salad with a wonderful end like a sweet fruit for dessert. We’ll see. This isn’t my normal way.
Usually, I’d skip the dessert. But hey, life is too damn short. So there you go.

early morning yoga practice Lunch: 'Ladies lunch' with special guest. Salad featuring Farmer's Market cherry tomatoes, Beluga lentils, JBG's tri-colored carrots. Malabar Spinach from JBG. Roasted peaches and cashew cream. Dinner: Easy blue corn tacos in slow cooker. Black bean soup and sweet potato mixture. Covered with shredded purple / napa cabbage. Maybe a 'cool' sauce. Topped with red onion, avacado.
To Buy: Bamboo Steamer
early morning yoga practice Lunch: Pick up from WFoods salad bar (leafy greens) Dinner: Wellshire Farms andouille sausage, red lentil mash, rice, greens.
To Make: polenta / corn grits, quinoa
To Prep: Black beans (soak overnight)
To Buy: couscous, squash
To Research: Slaw recipe with peanut butter
To De-Thaw: BBQ tofu sliders, tempeh chili
Lunch: BBQ tofu burger with 'seed'uction party rolls. Serve with pickle, red onion, mustard, sauce. Dinner: Polenta cakes with tempeh chili, sweet potato
To Cook: Black Beans
early morning yoga practice Lunch: Big kitchen sink salad (maybe veggie fried rice). Dinner: Buddha bowl with black beans, couscous and squash.
Walk on Town Lake Lunch: Fish Bar @ Whole Foods Dinner: Amberjack on grill. Bodacious salad with strawberries, balsamic vinegar, fresh garden basil.
