At Green Pastures Restaurant/Grounds this morning.
BOULDIN CREEK, AUSTIN, TEXAS — Among the many things you can see in our neighborhood, there lives a white peacock at Green Pastures Restaurant on Live Oak Street.
I had just entered the grounds of the restaurant this morning when I noticed this feathered friend. (Once he/she noticed me, the bird hopped from its tree perch and proceeded to show me the plume.)
Rose Garden Bench at Green Pastures Restaurant.
I actually backed off some distance thinking the bird could swoop at me and then I’d be buying another camera (which hubby wouldn’t be happy with.)
Well, Happy Wednesday! Enjoy the Bouldin Creek Neighborhood photos. Love, D.
Herb garden at the new Elizabeth Street Cafe. (down the street from us.)
Historical ‘Robert S. Stanley’ house about a four-minute walk from us.
I love, love, love, the color of the Pride of Barbados.
Mature Century succulent. You can see where cuts removed dead limbs.
Bouldin Creek Cafe where my fav is the garden salad (fresh organic tomatoes) and garlic tahini dressing, which is to die for. (Oh, and the corn tortilla stuffed with mushroom and spinach. And salsa. Ask for THE NEAL.) Seating is available outside too.
