thai basil_pecannutsThis morning I went out into the back yard and spotted a squirrel up high in our Pecan Tree dropping half-eaten nuts.

I gathered the nuts on the ground and placed them in a bunch in the garden bed. I guess I was trying to make it a convenient ‘camping ground.’

I don’t mind. I think this might be the same squirrel who has provided so much entertainment.

(We have some squirrel who likes to put his/her belly in the wet ground to cool off. And it’s horribly cute to watch it find the right spot in the garden bed.)

The photo was taken this morning. You can see the nut pile I put together and the Thai Basil growing.

(The Thai Basil is still alive, which is amazing considering today will reach 104 degrees. Yikes!)
